Watercolors, Acrylics, Silver and Beaded Jewelry

Butterfly Dance (2023)

Focusing on Fall! I spent a lot of time in the studio during the summer, so I’ve got very interesting new pieces ready for upcoming events:

  • Carson Valley Arts Council Copeland Gallery, Sep 4th – Oct 25th. An exhibition of my watercolors, acrylics, prints as well as silver and beaded jewelry at 1572 US Hwy 395 in Minden. This is gallery is really a gem, with wonderful space and a supportive organization. Monday – Saturdays, 10am – 5pm.
  • Carson Valley Art Studio Tour, Oct 12th & 13th. This is sponsored by the Carson Valley Arts Council. This year I’m exhibiting in their Copeland Gallery (above), but check out all of the great artists that are opening their studios for these two days (10am – 4pm on the 12th; 10am – 3pm on the 13th): Details at CVASTour.org
  • Handcrafted Holiday Faire in Incline Village, Sat. Nov 4th. This is a great show every year, and I’m pleased to be exhibiting once again. I will primarily show silver and beaded jewelry, but I always have a few paintings as well. Other exhibitors have a wide range of arts and crafts. A great way to kickoff the holiday season!

I hope you can get to one of these shows! [And we will soon be announcing a date for our annual Open Studio event, so stay tuned…]

I work in diverse media, including watercolors, metal and beaded jewelry, and printmaking. My studio is in northern Nevada, which allows a fantastic environment of light and shadows for investigating art forms.

The arts have been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Many years ago, I was an oil painter, not having the patience to deal with watercolor’s challenges.  These days I prefer the transparency, unpredictability and flexibility of watercolor. And printmaking. And working in beads and silver. And acrylics.
